Guidance Every Step of the Way
The goal of the Guidance Department is to ensure that each student benefits fully from her education at Presentation of Mary Academy. Guidance counselors meet on an individual basis with students throughout the school year and closely monitor academic progress. Guidance counselors work closely to organize weekly and quarterly progress reports, peer tutoring, and other support services to guarantee that the individual needs of each student are being met. An integral part of the Guidance Department is the developmental guidance program, which focuses on the college search and selection process, as well as career exploration. On-campus visits from college admissions representatives are held throughout the first semester of senior year and seminars are hosted annually cover ing college selection, financialaid, and admissions testing. The guidance counselors at the Academy take great pride in the overall placement of graduating seniors. Students are continuously accepted at prestigious colleges and universities. The Academy’s record of attaining college placement for ninety-nine percent of graduating seniors is evidence of the quality education students receive.
